Bicycle route through South America

I do not have an exact route I plan on taking. I do not know anything about South America except that is where the Galapagos Islands are, Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca and just a few other cultural references I have heard about that continent.

In order to explore and experience this place, I will break it up into sections. It will take a couple of years to cycle this and experience South America. I will ride for awhile, go back home to work for 3 to 4 months, then come back and ride some more. It may take 3 separate trips to get a good experience of this place.

After doing a quick look at a map this is a basic overview of what I would like to do:
Colombia
Fly in to Bogota, Colombia
visit Cali, Colombia

Ecuador
visit Quito
Galapagos islands
Cuenca

Peru
Machu Picchu
Cuzco
Lake Titicaca

Bolivia
LaPaz
Cochbamba
cycle across Salar de Uyuni

Chile
I have no idea yet

Argentina
Tierra del Fuego

What that route might look like:

There is a good chance I may not follow any of that, this is not about anything except experiencing the people and cultures along the way as I work on my own soul growth. I have a direction but I'm flexible to change as well. I may cut across to Brazil from Bolivia and not go to Argentina, I do not know. I will let each day unfold and see where the journey takes me.
